Here are some of the top state of Hawaii stories for Thursday, 22 September 2016:
Endangered Newell Shearwater chicks on Kauai have been relocated to the Kilauea Point Natural Wildlife Refuge. Numbers of the endangered bird have been decimated by feral cats and pigs.
No parole is extended for defendant in airman slaying. Both parties in this murder are serving life sentences without parole.
